Special Embroidered ヴィンテージ ラリーキルト ♯697
ベンガル地方に伝わる伝統キルト。
ホワイトカラーにカラフルなお花モチーフの刺繍が広がる鮮やかなキルトです。
真っ白な生地に鮮やかな色がとっても綺麗な一枚です。
おそらく大きなキルトをハーフサイズにリメイクされて使い勝手のいいサイズになっています。
ステッチな細かさ縁取りまで素晴らしい手仕事です。
さらりと薄めでブランケット、チェアカバー、タペストリーなどマルチに使っていただけます。
※いくつか錆びのようなシミ、ピンクにじんだ跡がありますがとてもコンディションもよく初めての刺繍キルトのお迎えにオススメです。

★説明★
ラリーキルト(「ラリー」という言葉には繋ぐ、混ぜるという意味があります)は、古くなったサリーや、腰布、ハギレなどをパッチワークしてランニングステッチ（刺し子）を施した布です。
ハンドステッチによる不揃いで細やかな針目が、手仕事ならではで手間と時間を掛けて生み出されます。
ソファやベッドに掛けたり敷物にしたり、タペストリーとして壁に飾ったり。季節や気分に合わせて気軽に使い分けられるのも魅力です。布の合わせ方や生地の柄・厚み、ステッチの一針一針にいたるまで同じものはひとつもありません。
インド・パキスタン・バングラデシュなどの中央アジアで長い間受け継がれてきた伝統工芸品です。
■特徴
ビンテージのサリーを利用したもので、布の補強と装飾を兼ねた手法で生地に擦れ手縫いの糸始末跡、汚れなどございますがこれもラリーキルトの特徴です。
